In 1993, Akemi Welsh started Polynesian Paradise, a professional Polynesian entertainment company specializing in the traditional Polyneasian dance.

Over the years, the Company has had the honor of sharing the hula with thousands of Southern Californians, including dignitaries and celebrities.
